Food and drink

Ye Olde Bulls Head Inn, Beaumaris
So, after an exhaustive day of Anglesey activity, you are ready for a good meal, stress free in pleasant surroundings. A quayside restaurant perhaps, for the catch of the day, or local lamb with fresh vegetables from farmhouse grills.
The island earned its reputation as the “Granary of Wales” in more austere times, and you will find that a vast number of Anglesey’s restaurants and eateries take pride in offering local produce. We even have our very own Oyster and Welsh Produce Festival, attracting high street suppliers and restaurant owners.
In fact Anglesey has earned a reputation as a food destination, and there is no better way to illustrate this than by picking up our “True Taste of Anglesey” booklet, with hints of where to go, what to eat, recipes and endorsed by television chef Bryn Williams.
You will find a local produce market at the secondary school in Menai Bridge, on the third Saturday of each month; you might not look at pre-packed supermarket trays the same way ever again!
But as for eating out – some of the locations are stunning.
