Holy
Island – an island off an island !
Although
joined to the rest of Anglesey by road and rail bridges, Holy Island is an
island in its own right, being separated from the rest of Anglesey at high
tide. It has a distinctive feel and manages to combine a wealth of different
features in a compact area. These include the historic port town of Holyhead,
the seaside village resort of Trearddur Bay, the scattered cottages of
Rhoscolyn, all surrounded by a dramatic coastal scenery of cliffs, coves and
beaches.
